Job Description

We are hiring for a Water Resources Engineer in the Tampa, FL area.

Summary:
Working with all 5 Water MGMT Districts (WMD's) in the Tampa area, reviewing and issuing permits,  costing, analysis of field and modeling data, interpretation of modeling results, and hydraulic design. Work very closely with FL Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), and Mining & Mitigation Program

Job Duties:
  • The technical execution of water resource engineering projects from start to finish
  • Develop technical approaches and costing, analysis of field and modeling data, interpretation of modeling results, and hydraulic design
  • Technical writing (proposals, memos, reports, etc.)
  • Collaboration with other technical staff
  • Coordination with regulatory agencies (e.g., Water Management Districts (WMDs), Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and the Mining and Mitigation Program)

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hydraulic or Civil Engineering
  • 4 to 8 years of experience in civil or hydraulic engineering
  • A strong understanding of Florida  regulations Water Management Districts/ Florida Dept. of Environmental Protection (WMDs/FDEP)
  • Hydraulic modeling and analysis experience (e.g., HEC RAS, ICPR4, XPSWMM)
  • Demonstrated experience working with public utilities providing potable water supplies
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • Fundamental understanding of integrated surface water groundwater modeling
  • Strong technical writing skills 
Preferred:
  • P.E.

Salary:  $80-$100K
Location:  Tampa, FL
Duration:  Permanent
