Job Description

Selectek is seeking direct-hire candidates to fill a Water Resources Engineer role with a partnering company in Tampa, Florida. The firm is looking for candidates to work with water management districts to analyze field and modeling data, review and issue permits, and interpret hydraulic designs

Employment Type: Permanent Hire
Expected Pay Range: $80,000 to $110,000 annually, depending on experience and certification
Location: Tampa, Florida

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hydraulic or Civil Engineering
  • 4 to 8 years of experience in civil or hydraulic engineering
  • A strong understanding of Florida  regulations Water Management Districts/ Florida Dept. of Environmental Protection (WMDs/FDEP)
  • Hydraulic modeling and analysis experience (e.g., HEC RAS, ICPR4, XPSWMM)
  • Demonstrated experience working with public utilities providing potable water supplies
In addition to these requirements, candidates must hold United States citizenship, per the client’s request. Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.

Job Details:
  • Technical execution of water resource engineering projects from start to finish
  • Develop technical approaches and costing, analysis of field and modeling data, interpretation of modeling results, and hydraulic design
  • Technical writing (proposals, memos, reports, etc.)
  • Collaboration with other technical staff
  • Coordination with regulatory agencies (e.g., Water Management Districts (WMDs), Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and the Mining and Mitigation Program)
