Job Description

We have an immediate need for VDC/BIM Coordinator 
  • Broad knowledge of plumbing and/or HVAC piping and general knowledge of other trades involved in the coordination process.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Massachusetts building codes.
  • Handle projects from pre-construction to completion.
  • Proficiency in REVIT and ability to draw in 3D.
  • Coordination of CAD drawings using structural, architectural, and mechanical contact documents.
  • Have ability to work independently with other trades and complete clash free, installation documents for the field.
  • Create documents for installation including detailed locations of all valves, instrumentation, hangers, access area required for operation, and all detail for mechanical rooms.
  • Verify contract drawings for thoroughness and code compliance. Identify issues or questions.
  • Prepare RFI’s
  • Identify potential additional cost or cost savings on the project.
  • Maintain project files for the duration of the project.
  • Visit job sites to gather information needed to complete drawings.

Required:  
  • 5+ years’ experience
  • Strong skill in understanding in mechanical systems
  • Proficient in BIM software (Revit Navis works, BIM 360)
  • Proficient in Office 365
  • Familiarity with plumbing and NFPA codes
  • Valid Drivers License 
  • OSHA 10 
Preferred: 
  • Applicable experience in construction from pre-con to final build including BIM coordination, and prefab.
  • Understands work structures and processes; effectively documents work
  • Understands fabrication process and ability to produce accurate installation drawings
Location: Hingham, MA
Salary: $60,000-$85,000
