Job Description
Selectek has an exciting opportunity for a Transportation Engineer in Fort Wayne, IN. You must be a US Citizen or authorized to work in the United States to be considered.
Responsibilities:
Pay and Wages: $70,000 - $100,000 annual salary depending on education and experience
Benefits: 401(k) plus company matching, health, life, vision, and dental insurance available after first 60 days

Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and build transportation systems and infrastructures such as highways and streets
- Develop faster, safer, and more efficient means of transportation
- Investigate traffic problems and recommend methods to improve traffic flow or safety
- Analyze the environmental impacts of transportation projects
- Review development plans to determine potential traffic impacts
- Design or engineer drainage, erosion, or sedimentation control systems for transportation projects
- Perform analysis and calculations to determine capacity, identify and address safety concerns, and assist with problem resolution throughout all phases of the design, construction, and maintenance processes
- Provide technical expertise, prepare drawings and schematics
- Prepare project budgets, schedules, or specifications for labor or materials
- Participate in contract bidding, negotiation, or administration
- Direct the surveying, staking, or laying out of construction projects
- Estimate transportation project costs
- Present data, maps, or other information at construction-related public hearings or meetings
- Oversee day-to-day operations as projects are being executed
- Inspect completed transportation projects to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
- Prepare administrative, technical, or statistical reports on traffic-operation matters, such as accidents, safety measures, or pedestrian volume or practices
- Projects may include highways and roads, traffic control systems, bridges, pavements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Transportation Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in related field (INDOT experience preferred)
- AutoCAD and MicroStation proficiency
- Technical writing skills a plus
