Position Summary:
Selectek is seeking a Transportation Engineer to support the design and delivery of transportation projects in Fort Wayne, IN. The successful candidate will take a leading role in transportation design, project coordination, and client collaboration. This role focuses heavily on design work and includes opportunities to work on INDOT, county, and municipal projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead transportation design calculations, reports, plan preparation, and roadway modeling.
  • Collaborate with office leadership on proposal documents and preliminary project evaluations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with public agencies and other firms to ensure effective project coordination.
  • Coordinate project tasks and provide updates to project managers and supervisory staff, assisting in budget, schedule, and status tracking.
  • Support regional offices on a variety of infrastructure projects.

Required Qualifications:
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Indiana.
  • 5+ years of experience designing transportation projects.
  • Expertise in MicroStation and Bentley Open Roads Designer.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with INDOT design standards and processes.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 7-12 years of experience in transportation project design.
  • Project management experience, including leading project teams.
  • Experience with Adobe products (preferred).
  • Background working on INDOT, county, and municipal transportation design projects.

Additional Considerations:
  • Open to candidates with an EIT (Engineer in Training) designation who demonstrate strong design experience.
  • Heavy focus on transportation design using advanced software tools.
Salary Requirement:  $70k- $90k

Shift and Hours: Monday- Friday
