Transmission Line Design Engineer

Job Description

Selectek is seeking a skilled and motivated Transmission Line Design Engineer to join our team in Tucker, GA. This role will be responsible for independently performing the physical design of transmission lines and developing detailed engineering documents to support construction, fabrication, and procurement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently execute the structural and physical design of high-voltage transmission lines
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, and contract documents for construction and bid purposes
  • Conduct engineering research and studies related to materials, design standards, and technical evaluations
  • Apply industry-standard design techniques and make informed modifications for complex projects
  • Participate in the development and refinement of internal design standards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions
  • Represent the Transmission Line Design team in corporate and project discussions
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficiency in PLS-CADD is required
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Transmission line design experience required with one of the following:
    • 3 - 10+ years of experience in transmission line design (structural design experience preferred), OR
    • 4 - 8+ years of experience with an active Professional Engineer (PE) license
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
  • Strong understanding of transmission line structural principles
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Pay Rate: $75,000 - $100,000+
Term: Direct Hire
