Job Description


Our client is a Civil Engineering firm, and they are looking to add a Survey Project Manager to their team. Much of their work is for new residential homes or commercial buildings. The role will focus on overseeing the Survey Projects and their crews.

Job Duties Include:

• Research historical maps, land records, previous survey results and land title information as needed to compare and verify current measurements and resolve questions of boundary lines

• Perform calculations and analysis using fundamental surveying formulas

• Design and layout of plans and details

• Adjust & correlate data, research code issues, design options and document findings

• Organize and maintain project files

• Provide estimates for new customers

• Preparation of letter reports and project correspondence

• Coordinate field crew schedule and project performance

• Communicate with (internal & external) others clearly and professionally in both technical and non-technical terms.

• Works well as a team

• Preparation of proposals, project scope and budgeting

• Prepare Specifications as required

Required
  • 8 plus years in the survey industry
  • 2 plus years as a Survey Project Manger overseeing residential or commercial projects and crews.
  • General knowledge of basic fundamental engineering principles such as surveying, geometrics, hydraulics, grading, CM, floodplain management and utility design.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
This work will be mainly for new residential homes and/or commercial buildings.
Location: Marietta GA
Pay: $32/hr-$41/hr depending on experience
