Job Description
Our client in Huntsville, AL is looking for a Survey Drafter to be responsible for reproducing documents, exhibits and surveys, researching and gathering information while assisting in drafting related to assigned projects, while increasing knowledge of Land Surveying and appropriate computer software.
Required:
- 2-year drafting degree or substantial experience in land survey drafting
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Exposure to Civil 3D, Microstation, Inroads, Topdraw, Carlson, Google Earth Pro or Deltek Vision preferred
Responsibilities:
- Compiles information for surveys
- Revises plats according to red line comments by supervisors
- Assists in preparing preliminary information for surveys and construction staking
- Reproduces documents and plans
- Prepares basic surveys with moderate supervision
- Applies basic computation skills in trigonometry and geometry
- Assembles information for survey crews
- Uses plat checklist to check work
