Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Georgia or Alabama Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to lead and manage our growing Survey Department. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of surveying operations, including project management, field crews, office staff, quality control, client relations, and business development.

This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed surveyor who wants to play a key leadership role in a well-established surveying and engineering company serving commercial, residential, municipal, and industrial clients throughout Georgia and Alabama.

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of the Survey Department.
  • Supervise and mentor field crews, CAD technicians, and survey personnel.
  • Review, certify, sign, and seal survey documents in accordance with Georgia laws and regulations.
  • Oversee boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction, subdivision, and utility surveys.
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with professional standards.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, engineers, attorneys, and government agencies.
  • Coordinate project staffing and resource allocation.
  • Assist with proposals, business development, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Support recruiting, training, and retention of survey personnel.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety policies and procedures.

Required:
  • Active Georgia or Alabama Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) License
  • 5 plus years of surveying experience
  • Experience managing survey projects and personnel
  • Proficiency with Survey software and CAD Platforms
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Valid Drivers license.

Preferred:
  • Experience with ALTA/NSPS land title surveys
  • Construction staking and infrastructure project experience
  • UAV/Drone surveying expereince
