Selectek is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for a direct-hire role. Our partnering company, located on the south side of Birmingham, Alabama, needs candidates with strong backgrounds in manufacturing systems to oversee production.
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Expected Pay Range: $70,000 to $80,000 based on experience
Location: Southern Birmingham, AL
Job Requirements:
•   Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferredÂ
•   Equivalent experience may be consideredÂ
•   2 Years Manufacturing Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or Quality Engineering ·Â
•   Excellent verbal and written communicationÂ
•   Kaizen leadership experienceÂ
•   Limited travel required for job - 25 %Â

Job Details:
•   ISO Documentation and revisionÂ
•   Lead AuditsÂ
•   Continuous improvement through planning and leading kaizen eventsÂ
•   Support plant operations as necessary to ensure KPI's are metÂ
•   Corrective and Preventive Action using (Fishbone, DMAIC Process, 8D, 5 Why’sÂ
•   Address non-conformance using 5-Step corrective action process; problem description, containment, root cause analysis, permanent corrective action, and verification.Â
•   Conducting root cause and corrective action for manufacturing non-conformancesÂ
•   Work instructions, standard work, and process flowsÂ
•   Knowledge of Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Galvanized SteelÂ
