Job Description

Selectek has an immediate need for a Structural Project Engineer in the Charlotte, NC area.

Required:

0-6 years of experience in structural engineering design
Bachelors Degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering
Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
Experience with a variety of design and modeling programs including Bentley products (RAM Steel, RAM Concept, Elements etc)
Versatility and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously are necessary

Preferred:

EIT Certification or PE
Experience designing with a variety of materials including steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and familiarity with applicable codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, etc.).

Job Description:

Work on a wide range of new and existing building design projects including but not limited to: Commercial, Retail, Government, Hospitality, Education, Multi-Family and Historic.
Work within a team structure on larger projects and also manage projects.
Engineering analysis and design of new and existing structures.

Job Order Details:
In this role, someone will be doing analysis, Revit design, calculations, etc. This is a smaller company so the candidate will manage their own projects once they get up to speed and trained. This person will need to have the ability to communicate effectively within the team and staying on task will be crucial. Really need someone to have a passion for building design!

Sponsorship: No
Pay Range: $27/hour - $40/hour ($55,000 - $85,000 annual salary depending on education, experience, and license)
Term of assignment: 6 months temp to perm OR Direct hire
Pay method when direct: Salary
Location of Job: Charlotte, NC
Hours & Shift: Monday - Friday: At some point, can be flexible as long as you work 40 hours. Core hours are 9AM – 5PM.
Work from home: Option is there but later on, once they have proved competency. They are flexible.
Working remote: No, but once the candidate gets settled in, they do let employees work from home with the expectation that they are available to come in when needed meetings, certain mandatory office days, etc.
Overtime: Occasional
Travel: No
Work Attire: Business Casual
