Job Description

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to coordinate, design, review and submit proposals regarding a variety of material types such as steel, concrete, wood, and masonry.

Hourly Pay Rate: $33.65 - $48.08

Location: Tuscaloosa, AL

Job Responsibilities:
  • The Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for the origination and review of structural design work, which includes, but is not limited to design criteria, calculations, drawings, and specifications
  • Engage in quality assurance, code compliance, permit identification and submittal, engineering studies, inspections, and structural investigations
  • Review and implement surveys, borings, and foundation design and analysis
  • Coordinate work with other disciplines on technical resolution and project development, status, and delivery.
  • Work and collaborate alongside a team of engineers on multiple projects while managing deadlines and priorities.
Required:
  • BSCE with strong structural curriculum
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Structural design experience with a variety of material types (steel, concrete, wood and masonry) and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • EIT or PE
  • Experience with structural analysis and design programs such as RISA, STAAD, etc.
  • Experience using Autocad and Revit
