Job Description
We are looking for a Structural Engineer to start working with a client of ours in the Trussville, ALÂ area as soon as possible. This candidate should have a background in residential, commercial, or healthcare industries.

Required by Client
- Provide engineering and consulting on a variety of projects including the structural design for new and existing buildings; the investigation of buildings for structural and materials failures, for condition assessments, and for analytical studies; analysis and design for the rehabilitation of existing and historic buildings; and structural design for specialty structures and structural shop drawings.
- Work closely with a variety of clients, including Architects, Engineers, Private and Public Company Owners, Commercial, and Manufacturers
- In-depth understanding of engineering principles and structural design practices. The ability to regularly perform calculations involving statics and solid mechanics (stress, strain, beam theory) is a requirement.
- Proficient in the use of computer-aided design software (AutoCAD), as well as, structural design software (RISA, RAM – Bentley Products).
- Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Analyze data, and perform engineering calculations and analysis
- Must reside and be eligible to work in the United States
Preferred by Client
- BS in Civil or Structural Engineering
- PE- Professional Engineering License
- 5 -10 years of experience in either residential, commercial, or industrial structural engineering.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards for structural engineering, including the International Building Code (IBC), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) standards, American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), American Concrete Institute (ACI), The Masonry Society (TMS), and American Institute of Timber Construction (AITC) standards.
