Job Description


Our client is currently seeking a Structural Engineer.    

Summary:
  • Provide engineering and consulting on a variety of projects including the structural design for new and existing buildings; the investigation of buildings for structural and materials failures, for condition assessments, and for analytical studies; analysis and design for the rehabilitation of existing and historic buildings; and structural design for specialty structures and structural shop drawings.
  • Work closely with a variety of clients, including Architects, Engineers, Private and Public Company Owners, Commercial, and Manufacturers.
  • Structural design and detailing for commercial and industrial projects.
  • Foundation design and detailing for pre-engineered building manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Connection design for fabricators.
  • Perform existing structure evaluations for insurance companies, owners, as well as other engineers.
  • Perform special inspections of projects under construction.
  • Assist manufacturers in the design and quality control processes associated with their product.
  • Perform plan or peer reviews to ensure safety and value in a project.
Requirements:
  • BS in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • EIT or PE License
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, RISA, and/or RAM software
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards for structural engineering, including the International Building Code (IBC), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) standards, American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), American Concrete Institute (ACI), The Masonry Society (TMS), and American Institute of Timber Construction (AITC) standards
  • In depth understanding of engineering principles and structural design practices
  • Ability to regularly perform calculations involving statics and solid mechanics (stress, strain, beam theory)

Pay Range:
  • $90 – 120k, depending on experience
