Job Description

Selectek has an immediate need to hire a Structural Engineer for a contract-to-direct position in Lithia Springs, GA. This firm specializes in metal and steel buildings, so the ideal candidate will have experience working with aluminum/metal/steel structures. 

Job Details: 
  • Using STAAD and RISA to complete calculations
  • Creating calculation packages for submittal
  • Evaluating reviewing design calculations for stress and deflection analysis per specifications
  • Reviewing and mentoring EIT’s on staff
  • Work with GC's Architects and PM's to resolve complex job issues
  • Reviewing shop drawings and comparing to contract drawings for correct details
  • Work with our in-house shop to solve design issues
  • Create testing procedures and see testing completed on new designs
Required 
  • BS or MS in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structures.
  • 4 plus years of work experience with structural steel, concrete, curtain wall, or metal framing.
  • Experience with STAAD & RISA or similar software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Compensation 
$38-$48 per hour based on experience  

Schedule 
Monday-Friday / 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
