Job Description
Our client is currently seeking a Structural Engineer.
Summary:
- We have an opportunity with a leading design firm for a Structural Engineer that will be responsible for all phases of project work from inception through construction.
- Typical projects include Hospitality, Educational and other commercial projects. Ideally candidates will have a background with mid- or high-rise buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Perform structural calculations for client review and permitting.
- Coordinate with other engineers and architects.
- Develop structural designs and details from initial concept to final Construction Documents.
- Construction administration duties including review of shop drawings, responding to RFI’s and construction sit observations.
Requirements:
- BS degree in Civil Engineering with Structural focus
- 5+ years’ experience engineering and designing hospitality, educational, and commercial structures
- Knowledge of Steel, concrete and masonry design codes; basic wood design knowledge
- Experienced in the analysis and design of structural steel and reinforced concrete buildings
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
Preferred:
- Master’s degree
- Experience in the design of post tensioned concrete structures and other multistory building types
- RAM Structural System software experience
- Hospitality project experience
- EIT or PE License
- Revit experience
Pay Rate:
- $32 – $40/hr, dependent on experience
