We have an opportunity with a leading design firm for a Structural Engineer that will be responsible for all phases of project work from inception through construction. Typical projects include Hospitality, Educational and other commercial projects.  Ideally candidates will have a background with mid- or high-rise buildings.
The engineer will work with in house Architects and other engineering disciplines to develop contract documents. The role will be responsible for performing the engineering and design aspects of the project. This will include performing the Construction Administration portion of the work that will include reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFI’s, and fielding questions regarding design drawings.


Responsibilities:
  • Perform structural calculations for client review and permitting.
  • Coordinate with other engineers and architects.
  • Develop structural designs and details from initial concept to final Construction Documents.
  • Well versed in building codes and construction.
  • Construction administration duties including review of shop drawings, responding to RFI’s and construction sit observations.
Required:
  • BS in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structures
  • 5 plus years’ experience engineering and designing hospitality, educational, and commercial structures. Experience should include Steel, concrete and masonry design codes, basic wood design knowledge.
  • Experienced in the analysis and design of structural steel and reinforced concrete buildings
  • Auto CAD Proficiency
Preferred:
  • Master’s degree in civil engineering
  • Experience in the design of post tensioned concrete structures and other multi story building types
  • RAM Structural System
  • Highly prefer experience with Hotels
  • PE
  • Revit

Pay: $32.00-$40.00 per hour
Term: 6 Months Temp to Direct
