Job Description

Selectek is looking for a Structural Engineer (Telecom) to be responsible for the design and structural analysis of new or existing communication structures for wireless telecommunication sites (towers, buildings, foundations, rooftops, etc.). The Structural Engineer will also be responsible for the design of custom solutions for support of telecommunications equipment - i.e. elevated steel platforms, antenna mounting frames, etc.

Required:
  • 3 - 5 years of related experience
  • BS or MS in an engineering discipline (civil or structural); (PE Certificate preferred)
  • Ability to travel when as needed
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Functional to proficient with AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of ASD & LRFD, TIA-G and TIA-H code
  • Experience with RISA, TnxTower, OCALC and ENERCAL
  • Experience in the design of wireless telecommunication sites to include collocations on existing tower sites, water tanks, rooftops and raw land sites is preferred
  • Must be able to work for any U.S. Employer without current or future visa sponsorship

Job Responsibilities:
  • Reviews tower, water tank, rooftop and foundation structures
  • Analyzes tower, water tank, rooftop and foundation structures using hand-calculations, tower analysis software (RISA 3D and TNX Tower) and other accepted engineering methods
  • Conforms design to local jurisdictional requirements for land use and permitting
  • Designs reinforcing and extension solutions
  • Coordinates and manages timelines and milestones
  • Coordinates with other engineers/designers, drafters, site acquisition and construction personnel in a team environment
  • Modifies and/or refines details during project to improve design
  • Performs site visits as needed to document field conditions for new sites and site modification projects
  • Ensures accurate project status reporting
  • Responsibilities will also include project planning and some client contact

Pay Range: $38.46/hour - $43.27/hour  ($80,000 - $90,000 annual salary)
Term of assignment: 6+ months temp (long term contract)
Pay Method when Direct: Hourly
Location of Job:  Remote
Hours & Shift: Monday - Friday; 8AM – 5PM; flex on hours (open to starting as early as 6:30AM)
WFH: Yes
Remote: Yes – preference is to be in CST or EST
Overtime: Not much expected
Travel: No
