Job Description

Selectek is seeking a Structural Engineer for a direct hire role with one of our partnering firms near Birmingham, Alabama. This firm is seeking a senior-level candidate with strong knowledge of structural assessment and forensic service work.

Employment Type: Direct Hire
Location: Hoover, Alabama
Expected Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000 based on experience and certifications

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- PE License (open to any state)
- Experience with structural analysis programs like RISA or STAAD
- 5+ years of experience in structural engineering
- Strong background in wood frame design and construction


In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.

Job Duties:
- Oversee and operate residential/commercial structural assessment services
- Perform all duties for residential and commercial structural assessment
- Identify foundation settlement, structural deterioration/decay
- Engage in quality assurance and code compliance

Schedule: Monday – Friday, typically 8:00a – 5:00p. Some hybrid flexibility may be available after an onboarding/orientation period.
