Selectek is seeking a Structural Engineer for a contract-to-direct role with one of our partnering firms in Midtown Atlanta. This firm works on a variety of projects, so candidates will need a varied background working with wood, steel, concrete, and masonry projects.
Employment Type: Contract-to-Direct
Location: Atlanta, GA
Expected Hourly Pay Range: $35-$50 based on experience and certifications, before permanent conversion
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Proficiency in Revit
- Experience with structural analysis programs like RISA or STAAD
- 5-7Â years of experience in structural engineering
- FE Exam required
- Strong design background in steel frame, wood, masonry, and concrete building projects
- Ideal candidate has experience with RAM Structural System/Elements and RISAÂ
In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.
Job Duties:
- Origination of and review of structural design work, including criteria, calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Develop project scope, schedule and budget estimates
- Coordinate, design, review, and submit proposals for a variety of projects
- Perform calculations and structural analysis as needed
- Engage in quality assurance and code compliance
- Review and implement borings, surveys, and foundation design/analysis
Schedule: Monday – Friday, typically 8:00a – 5:00p. Some start time flexibility or work from home opportunities are available at client's discretion.Â
