Job Description

Selectek is seeking a Structural Engineer for a contract-to-direct role with one of our partnering firms on the eastern side of Atlanta, Georgia. This firm works on a variety of projects, but candidate's work in this role will be focused on structural steel projects.

Employment Type: Contract-to-Direct
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Expected Hourly Pay Range: $30-$40 based on experience and certifications, before permanent conversion

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (structural focus)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Experience with structural analysis programs like RISA or STAAD
- 2+ years of experience in structural engineering
- Ideal candidate holds or is close to obtaining EIT certification

In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.

Job Duties:
- Design entire structures with minimal participation from senior engineers
- Origination of and review of structural design work, including criteria, calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Prepare construction documents and perform construction administration tasks 
- Perform calculations and structural analysis as needed
- Engage in quality assurance and code compliance
- Review and implement borings, surveys, and foundation design/analysis

Schedule: Monday – Friday, typically 8:00a – 5:00p.
