Job Description

We have an immediate need for an experienced Structural Engineer in Alpharetta, GA (30005) to support the structural and mechanical design of heavy-duty bulk material handling systems. This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong focus on structural steel, 3D modeling, and analysis software. The ideal candidate will have experience designing equipment such as offshore rigs, cranes, or stacker/reclaimers.

Position Highlights:
  • Perform 3D structural modeling and apply structural analysis software (STAAD, RISA, or similar)
  • Design and engineer heavy industrial steel structures—no concrete work involved
  • Emphasis on plate weldments, HSS tubes/pipes, and moving structures
  • Collaborate on mechanical and structural designs from concept through production
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s in Structural Engineering
  • 10+ years of relevant heavy industrial experience
  • AutoCAD proficiency
  • Strong working knowledge of structural steel and industrial design
  • PE license preferred or willingness to obtain
Details:
  • Pay: $43–$57/hr | Targeting under $120K if converted
  • Location: On-site in Alpharetta, GA
  • Schedule: Flexible start (6:30am–9:30am), 8-hour day
  • Term: 6-month temp-to-direct preferred
  • Travel: None for the first year; occasional site visits later
  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder required
