Entry Level Structural Engineer - Support Our Growing Team in Alpharetta!

Do you have a passion for design and a strong foundation in structural engineering?

We're looking for a talented and motivated entry-level Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Alpharetta, GA. In this role, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience supporting senior engineers on a variety of projects within the oil and gas industry.

What You'll Do:
  • Contribute to the design of safe and efficient foundations and structures, ensuring they meet all relevant codes and standards.
  • Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines to design support systems for various equipment and buildings.
  • Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets under the guidance of experienced engineers.
  • Review and provide quality checks on the work of junior design staff.

You'll be responsible for:
  • Preparing clear and concise design documentation for review.
  • Establishing design criteria and identifying relevant codes and requirements.
  • Creating drawing requirements and project schedules.
  • Participating in site visits to define project scope.
  • Developing material specifications for various construction elements.
  • Utilizing structural software to perform basic design tasks.
  • Assisting with project planning, cost estimation, and scheduling activities.
  • Contributing to geotechnical investigations and report reviews.
  • Applying industry-standard codes like IBC, SPCC, ACI 318, etc.
  • Creating and maintaining standard designs for foundations and steel structures.
  • Utilizing design software and tools for calculations.
  • Maintaining clear and effective communication with colleagues and clients.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Understanding of steel structures, including beam properties, calculations, and design principles.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating and editing technical drawings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
