Job Description

We are seeking a Structural Engineer for an immediate opening in the Alexandria/Springfield, VA area. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain a security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and design structural systems using various materials and building codes.
  • Conduct field surveys and document existing conditions.
  • Coordinate and communicate with architects and engineers from other disciplines.
  • Review and assess structural integrity of existing buildings.
  • Create detailed drawings in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Draft comprehensive technical reports.
  • Review construction submittals and provide responses to contractor queries.
  • Track billable hours and project expenses.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Civil or Architectural Engineering (Structural focus) from an ABET-accredited university.
  • EIT certification with the goal of obtaining a PE license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and structural design software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to pursue security clearance.

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (ATFP).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in VA or DC.
  • Federal or military project experience.
  • Experience with Ajera project management software.
