Job Description

Are you interested in a Structural Engineer opportunity local to Alexandria, VA? We have an immediate need for someone with their EIT and interest in working with renovation and rehab projects.

Pay: $33/hr - $41/hr+ (dependent on experience)

Required:
  • 1-8 years of experience in structural engineering design 
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering from ABET Accredited University
  • EIT Certification
  • Proficient in Revit
  • Interest in renovation and rehabilitation 
  • Experience with a variety of design and modeling programs including Bentley products (RAM Steel, RAM Concept, Elements etc.)
  • Experience designing with a variety of materials including steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and familiarity with applicable codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, etc.).
  • Versatility and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously are necessary
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are critical
Job Responsibilities:
  • Work on a wide range of new and existing building design projects including but not limited to: Commercial, Retail, Government, Hospitality, Education, Multi-Family and Historic.
  • Work within a team structure on larger projects and also manage projects.
  • Engineering analysis and design of new and existing structures.
  • 50% In-field work including site visits, building assessments, and garage surveys.
