Job Description
Are you a Structural Engineer seeking a challenging and dynamic opportunity? We have an immediate need for a talented professional to join our team in Alexandria, VA. This is a full-time position with the potential for permanent placement within 6 months of the start date.
Key Requirements:
- 1-8 years of experience in structural engineering design
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering from an ABET Accredited University
- EIT Certification
- Proficiency in Revit
- Interest in renovation and rehabilitation
- Experience with Bentley products (RAM Steel, RAM Concept, Elements, etc.)
- Familiarity with a variety of materials including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood
- Experience with applicable codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, etc.)
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with renovation and rehab projects
Responsibilities:
- Work on a diverse range of new and existing building design projects, including Commercial, Retail, Government, Hospitality, Education, Multi-Family, and Historic structures
- Collaborate within a team structure on larger projects and independently manage assigned projects
- Conduct engineering analysis and design for both new and existing structures
- Perform 50% in-field work, including site visits, building assessments, and garage surveys
Pay Rate:
- $33/hr. - $41/hr.
Shift and Hours:
- Monday-Friday
- 8 AM - 5 PM
- Hybrid work environment
