This is an exciting opportunity for a Structural Engineer passionate about residential design to contribute to projects ranging from custom single-family homes to large-scale multi-family developments, townhomes, and accessory structures.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Structural Engineer with a background or strong interest in residential design to support growing demand in our architectural and engineering divisions. You will be responsible for developing structural designs and preparing construction documents for a variety of wood-framed residential structures, including roof, floor, and foundation systems.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare structural designs and create/revise construction documents for residential buildings (roof framing, floor framing, foundation plans, and structural details).

  • Collaborate with professional engineers and in-house structural drafters throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously with an eye for accuracy, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Perform quality control on your own drawings through redlining and revisions.

  • Maintain high levels of communication and collaboration with internal teams.
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.

  • At least 1 year of structural engineering experience related to residential design (open to new grads with strong academic or internship background).

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.

  • Basic understanding of residential construction methods and materials.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with roof truss and floor joist layouts.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; team-oriented mindset.

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational habits.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • PE license is a plus and will be compensated accordingly.

Salary Range: $65,000 – $100,000/year (DOE; higher range for PE-licensed candidates with strong residential experience)
Term: Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Work Arrangement: Onsite only (no remote/WFH)
Start Date: ASAP
