Do you have a passion for creating the technical blueprints that bring structures to life?

Selectek has a full-time opportunity for a seeking a talented Structural Drafter/Designer to join our growing team Civil and Structural Engineering firm in Birmingham, AL. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting our engineers by transforming their designs into clear, concise, and accurate technical drawings.

What You'll Do:
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure projects meet deadlines and client expectations.
  • Utilize your expertise in AutoCAD and Revit to:
    • Set up drawing sheets.
    • Draft building plans, elevations, and sections
    • Create detailed illustrations of structural components.
  • Interpret client-provided plans and sections to accurately depict the necessary structural elements.
  • Maintain open communication with engineers to understand project requirements.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

What We're Looking For:
  • 3+ years of experience in structural drafting, preferably in the vertical construction field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans and sections.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • A meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
