Job Description

Selectek is seeking a Structural Designer for a contract-to-direct hire role with one of our partnering firms near Birmingham, Alabama. This firm is seeking an experienced candidate with strong knowledge of commercial and residential building projects.

Employment Type: Contract-to-Direct 
Location: southern Birmingham, AL
Expected Pay Range: $25-$33 per hour based on experience and certifications

Job Requirements:
- Experience with Revit and AutoCAD
- 3+ years of experience in structural design
- Knowledge of commercial construction codes
- Ideal candidate has Associates Degree or certification in Drafting/Design

In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.

Job Duties:
- Design and develop structural plans for commercial projects
- Create 2D drawings and 3D models using Revit and AutoCAD
- Prepare construction documents with regard to design, material, specification, and detailing
- Coordinate revisions to structural plans or elevations with details

Schedule: Monday – Friday, typically 8:00a – 5:00p.
