Design Industrial Structures and Make Your Mark in Alpharetta!

Calling all Structural Designers/Detailers with an Industrial Focus!

Selectek has a contract-to-hire opportunity in Alpharetta, GA for a talented individual to join an Engineering Firm specializing in the Oil and Gas industry. In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in industrial structures to design key components like piping systems, structural steel, platforms, beams, and foundations.

What You'll Do:
  • Create and revise project drawings for review, including plans and details for foundations and structural steel.
  • Manage electronic versions of drawings, ensuring adherence to standards and timely delivery.
  • Review vendor prints, mechanical equipment, and building foundations for compatibility.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in design reviews to maintain high quality standards.
  • Implement best practices and follow company, industry, and client design guidelines.
  • Update drawings based on field changes and engineering revisions.
  • Develop and maintain standard designs for foundations and steel structures.
  • Proactively coordinate design issues with clients, vendors, and other engineering disciplines.

You're a perfect fit if you have:
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial structural steel design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • A clear understanding of steel sections, beams, sizing calculations, design principles, layout, and drafting.

A plus if you have:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D or Autodesk Advanced Steel.

Rate: $27 – 32/hr. W2
