Selectek is currently working with a full-service structural engineering firm to find Structural Design Engineer.  This role will work closely with the Senior Engineer team and support them by producing structural design drawings for Commercial and Institutional Projects.You will work to perform the design and specification work for beams, columns, and foundries for those projects. You will also coordinate with architectural drawings and help submit structural shop drawings. Any previous analysis experience would be helpful but is not required.

$28-32/hr

Responsibilities Include:
  • Analysis and design of structural framing and foundation elements
  • Perform calculations and create/run models in various design software packages
  • Engineering materials: Structural Steel, Concrete, Masonry, Wood, Post-tensioned Concrete
  • Lateral analysis and design
  • Shop drawing review & construction site visits
  • Manipulate architectural REVIT models to develop structural design information
  • Work with the production team to develop the structural REVIT model and contract documents

Required:
  • Bachelor of Science Structural Engineering
  • EIT Certification
  • 1 Plus year of design experience with structural steel and concrete
  • REVIT & AutoCAD experience
  • Exposure to common structural analysis packages
  • Strong Communication skills

Preferred:
  • Master’ s degree in Structural Engineering
  • Experience with Wood, Masonry, and Post Tension
