Job Description
We have an immediate need for a Staff Architect in the metro Washington D.C. area. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and estimated to go direct within 6 months of start date.
Hourly pay is 34-44/HRÂ relevant to experience and education.
Salary estimated at 70-90K, once permanent.

Job Description:
- Responsibilities include participating in all project phases to solve problems, to create graphic visualizations, to evaluate/select/specify materials and products, to design and detail.
- Participate in all aspects of architectural and engineering practices from preliminary design through construction administration.
- Working on all phases of private and public sector projects.
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture. Â
- 5 Years working at an Architectural Firm.
- Hands-on computer proficiency with Revit 2019 or later and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.Â
- Familiarity with building performance analytics. .
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Ability to research, understand and implement Building Codes and other Regulatory requirements.
- Curiosity, grit, determination, stellar analysis and design skills.
Preferred:
- Historic preservation and/or sustainable design focus is desirable.
- Rhino, Grasshopper, SketchUp and 3D Modeling Software is desirable
- Experience with Newforma
- LEED© accreditation under BD+C, CI, or EBOM
- WELL Building Standard accreditation is desirable
- Familiarity with EnergyStar, Enterprise Green Communities or other sustainability programs is a plus.

Bringing 15 years of industry experience to Selectek, Nick has the know-how and passion to serve our clients as an account manager.
Nick was born and raised in the Rochester, New York area. In the early summer of 1998, after earning his BA in Communications from SUNY Oswego, he decided to take a 16 hour road trip to Atlanta, GA and see what all the fuss was about. Fast forward to 2020, Nick still resides in the Metro Atlanta area. NASCAR, the Atlanta Braves and homemade sweet tea may have had a slight influence on his decision to stay.
Nick has found the staffing industry to be a good match for his personality type. He gets paid to talk on the phone, take clients out to lunch and feels a true sense of pride when he can provide a viable solution to his client’s needs. He is excited to be a part of the Selectek family and enjoys the company of his co-workers.
When not in the office, Nick enjoys spending time with his family, playing in a Rec Soccer league and playing a few video games here and there.
