Job Description

Selectek is working with a growing client Manufacturer in Birmingham AL that i looking for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer and has a background in Healthcare. Job Responsibilities:

•    Design facility HVAC & Plumbing systems to meet client’s requirements in
     projects.
•    Perform facility HVAC & Plumbing distribution system and equipment design
      for a wide range of projects, and collaborate with team engineers, architects,
      and detailers as needed to model elements into a cohesive facility model.
•    Perform calculations, studies, and analysis of HVAC & Plumbing systems and
      equipment to create design solutions. Specific forms of analysis include
      HVAC system load, sizing ductwork, sizing domestic water and drainage
      systems.
•    Layout of domestic water and drainage system piping and system isometric
      diagrams. 
•    Layout of ductwork and hydronic system piping and associated air and/or
     water flow diagrams.
•    Support production of projects including manufacturing design drawings,
     computer modeling, and detailing of manufacturing and construction work
     scopes.
•    Strong problem-solving skills
•    Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 7-10 years of experience in the HVAC engineering Industry
  • Professional Engineer license•    Experience with the design and construction of healthcare facilities
  • Experience with 3D Modeling programs such as Revit and AutoCAD

Location:  Birmingham, AL
Duration:  Permanent
Salary:  $140-$155K
