Selectek has partnered with Civil – Geotech Engineering Company in Pittsburg PA. Our client is looking for a Sr. Geotechnical Engineer PM to manage projects for Dams, Oil & Gas, Mining and CCR for State, Local and Federal Programs.’
• BS Degree Civil Engineer from an ABET -Accredited civil/geotechnical engineering program and highly prefer a Master
Degree
• PE – Professional Engineer
• 15 plus years of experience in site development for energy and Industrial
• Experience with Coal-Fire Power, Mining, Energy Oil & Gas and Wast industries
• Direct, Lead and Manage projects including planning, engineering, design, serve as the Engineer of Record on Design
• Plan and coordinate geotechnical & geophysical investigations, instrumentation programs, and laboratory testing
programs (soils & rock, coal combustion residuals/byproducts, mine tailings, construction materials, geosynthetics).
• Originate geotechnical analyses and designs for dams (earth, coal ash, coal refuse and mine tailings), cofferdams,
traditional & specialty geo-structures, deep foundations, and ground improvement programs.
• Prepare design documentation reports and calculation briefs, and coordinate preparation of construction document
packages (drawings, specifications, CQA/CQC manuals).
• Prepare and conduct presentations to internal and external clients, government regulators, other consultants and
contractors, and other stakeholders, focused on analysis findings, and engineering conclusions and recommendations.
• Support project and business development activities, proposal and budget generation, and strategic planning, including
building relationships with existing and potential clients
• Support other projects/programs that are managed and supported within the local office and other Tetra Tech offices and
business units.
• Computer skills must encompass the Microsoft Office software suite, and widely used public domain geotechnical analysis and design software, and modeling software.
• Experience in liquefaction assessment/triggering
analyses and seismic hazard assessment is a plus
• Word, Excel, MS Project, SLIDE, AutoCAD
