Position: PLC Training Instructor (Siemens)
Location: Lake Orion, MI 48359
Type: 6-month temp-to-direct
Compensation: ~ $38.50--$43.50/hr (~ $80--$90k/yr) + per diem + hotel + benefits
Overview: Join team as a PLC Training Instructor specializing in Siemens PLC systems. Seeking an experienced professional to train apprentices at automotive manufacturing facilities in and around Lake Orion, MI. This role blends hands-on expertise in Automation, Floor Line Building, Controls, Robotics, and System Integration with a passion for teaching.
Required Skills:
  • Siemens PLC expertise
  • Background in Automation, Floor Line Building, and System Integration
  • Experience with Robotics and Controls systems (e.g., Fanuc, Kuka)
  • Ability to travel to non-local plants as required (per diem provided)
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct training on automated floor lines and robotics, focusing on troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and programming.
  • Develop curriculum and deliver engaging training sessions at local automotive plants (up to 60% travel).
  • Apply real-world experience to educate apprentices on manufacturing processes and equipment.
Preferred Skills:
  • Comfortable presenting to groups
  • Previous teaching or training experience beneficial
