Job Description
Selectek has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Process Engineer in Akron, OH. In this role, you will perform forensics engineering for industrial building design. This is a hybrid work-from-home position. You must be a US Citizen or authorized to work in the United States to be considered.
Responsibilities:
Pay and Wages: $100,000 - $130,000 annual salary depending on education and experience

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Plan Development, scheduling Process Design activities and resources
- Act as Lead Process Design Engineer on a project basis; includes being a technical resource for the project team as well as directing the work of junior engineers and designers
- Performs all aspects of Process Design Engineering (e.g. development of heat and material balances, P&IDs; and sizing and/or preparation of equipment specifications, performing hydraulic/thermal calculations, relief device calculations, familiarity with process industry codes and standards)
- Maintain effective communication with project team members, other departments, suppliers and clients
- Estimates work hours, develops scope of work, make staff recommendations, and checks drawings
- Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
- 15+ years of chemical, petrochemical, polymer and/or refinery experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and ChemCAD
