Job Description
We have an immediate need for a remote Senior Piping Engineer who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business, including state of the art industrial and commercial facilities.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- At least 10 years of experience in manufacturing projects
- Selects materials of construction for piping, insulation and related components
- Knowledge on how to Analyze piping systems using Hexagon’s Caesar II
- Knowledge in Pipe Support Design and selection.
- General knowledge of Piping Design and piping components.
- Working knowledge of Nozzle Pro 10.0 is preferred
- ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code / ASME B31.1 Power Piping Code / ASME BPE Bioprocessing Equipment / ASCE 7-10 for Occasional Loads
- Ensures code compliance
- Excellent computer skills required (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access)
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks as scheduled is required
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment is required
- Effective coordination skills with multiple disciplines.
Preferred:
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
- Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams Knowledge of ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, and ASME BPE codes and standards is required
- Piping stress analysis and material management system knowledge is plus
- Passion for buildings and construction
