Job Description

Selectek has an immediate need to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a full-time position in Bessemer, Alabama.

Job Details 
•    Design facility HVAC & Plumbing systems to meet client’s requirements for projects.
•    Perform facility HVAC & Plumbing distribution system and equipment design for a wide range of projects, and collaborate with team engineers, architects, and detailers as needed to model elements into a cohesive facility model.
•    Perform calculations, studies, and analysis of HVAC & Plumbing systems and equipment to create design solutions. Specific forms of analysis include HVAC system load, sizing ductwork, sizing domestic water and drainage systems.
•    Layout of domestic water and drainage system piping and system isometric diagrams. 
•    Layout of ductwork and hydronic system piping and associated air and/or water flow diagrams.
•    Support production of projects including manufacturing design drawings, computer modeling, and detailing of manufacturing and construction work scopes.
•    Strong problem-solving skills
•    Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills

Requirements for Qualification:
•    Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering 
•    EIT (PE Preferred)
•    7-10 years of experience HVAC Engineering for industrial, chemical, or manufacturing facility design. 
•    Experience delivering projects utilizing AutoCAD and Revit 

Compensation 
$140,000-$155,000 based on experience

Schedule 
Monday-Friday, flexible on start/end times.
