Senior IT Systems & Support Specialist

Alpharetta, GA | Full-Time, Onsite | Direct Hire | ~ $75k--$100k+ DOE

A well-established, family-oriented company based in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Senior IT Systems & Support Specialist to support approximately 100 employees across 7 locations. This hands-on, solo IT role offers full responsibility for hardware, software, network administration, cybersecurity, and vendor coordination.

What You’ll Do
  • Be the primary point of contact for all IT support and infrastructure management.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware including laptops, tablets, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 applications, especially Teams.
  • Manage network infrastructure such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Provide remote and onsite support to users across multiple locations.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset tracking and inventory.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for procurement and maintenance.
  • Proactively handle cybersecurity threats and respond to security incidents.
  • Document systems, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Train and assist employees in using IT tools and best practices.
  • Support ongoing migrations from on-premise systems to cloud-based solutions.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of IT experience, ideally as a solo IT professional in a small to mid-sized company.
  • Strong technical skills in desktop support, systems administration, and networking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and remote support tools.
  • Experience with both Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with a personable, team-oriented approach.
  • Proven ability to work independently and solve complex IT challenges.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: ~ $75,000 – $100,000+ (negotiable, based on experience)

  • Standard Monday–Friday hours with occasional overtime as needed.
