Job Description

We have an immediate need for a Senior Geotechnical Project Engineer.
This is a remote work opportunity for candidates that live in any of the following states: MD, OH, PA, VA or WV.
This is a contract-to-direct opportunity and expected to go permanent within 6 months of start date. Pay range of $40-60/hr dependent on experience, education and license status. Direct salary estimated at $95,000 - $125,000.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Lead and direct projects with overall responsibility for technical accuracy and appropriateness
  • Plan, coordinate and direct larger, more significant and/or complex engineering projects
  • Manage/solve technically complex problems
  • Implement advanced techniques, theory, precepts and practices
  • Serve as technical specialist and staff advisor
  • Work closely with other disciplines on multi discipline projects
  • Ensure consistent, professionally written communication with clients and other outside contacts
  • Direct proposal preparation and administer contracts
  • Schedule and budget projects, striving to make each project profitable
  • Supervision of engineering and support personnel
  • Develop staff and project engineers
  • Initiate and advance business development opportunities
  • Client development and retention
  • Participate in collections
Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 6-8 years of relevant, progressive experience
  • Ability to obtain a PE License in WV, OH and/or another state with WV reciprocity
  • Ability to write geotechnical reports, analyze data and provide credentialed expertise
  • Familiarity with soils and general subsurface characteristics of VA, WV, and PA
  • Proficient with gINT Bentley, Settle3, Settle3D, and/or similar Geotech settlement and foundation software tools.
Preferred:
  • WV DOH/ VDOT/MDOT project experience.
  • Professional Engineer's License

Location: remote (candidates must live in Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, or West Virginia)
Pay range: $40 - $60 per hour depending on experience and education
