Senior Electrical Engineer – Data Centers (Design + Leadership Track)

Locations: Atlanta (Norcross), GA | Charlotte, NC | Tampa, FL | Detroit, MI
Hybrid | Travel ~25–30% | Highly Competitive, Negotiable Compensation

A growing design-engineering firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer experienced in Data Center and mission-critical design. This is a high-visibility leadership position with opportunity to lead design efforts, build and mentor your own team, and play a key role in future hiring and growth initiatives.
You’ll be hands-on in design initially, then transition into a leadership and oversight role while continuing to stay involved technically. The company maintains a lean, collaborative culture and offers hybrid flexibility when not traveling or at project sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical design solutions for data centers and complex power systems
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, and construction documents
  • Coordinate across disciplines, clients, and vendors
  • Conduct site visits and field observations
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of deliverables
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers

Qualifications
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • ~ 10+ years of experience, including data center design
  • Strong knowledge of MV (34.5 kV) and LV distribution systems
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam
  • Proficient in NEC, load/fault/voltage drop calculations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Details
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8–5
  • Travel: ~25–30%
  • Hybrid flexibility outside of office/site visits
  • Compensation: ~$150K–$170K+ (Highly Negotiable Base Salary)
