Job Description
We are currently working with a client to find a Senior Architectural Checker to ensure consistency of drawing sandards, implement QA-QC process, minimize errors and omissions in the construction documents, and assure consistency, quality, profitability, efficiency, and timeliness across multiple offices for single-family housing projects.
Salary Range: $80k/yr. - $110k/yr.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enforce:
- New project start-up procedures
- Project Checklists for production teams
- Single-Family Process Manual
- Deliverable requirements for each phase of Single-Family Design (SD, DD, CD)
- QA-QC
- Manage and enforce Quality Control checking of all single-family documents and specifications during SD, DD and CD phases
- Review QA-QC results with production team
- Inform Office Directors if QA-QC review comments are not being implemented
- Educate production staff on:
- Lessons-learned
- Manage Single-Family new hire training curriculum
- Proper detailing and documentation
- Updates to production standards
- Manage Microsoft Team for Single-Family team
- Maintain the Single-Family Detail Library
- Enforcement of national graphic standards for Revit and Autocad deliverables
- Participate in Revit Standards Committee
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent
- Registered Architect preferred
- Ten years’ experience of project responsibility
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely; both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and with strong attention to detail
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines, completing tasks as previously defined
