SCADA Support Specialist

Job Description


We are seeking a SCADA Support Specialist to provide critical support for system control centers and field commissioning teams within a high-voltage power and substation environment. This position offers the opportunity to support and troubleshoot SCADA systems and metering infrastructure, with long-term contract potential.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for SCADA systems and components across distribution, generation, and transmission facilities.

  • Assist technicians and test engineers with commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), Data Concentrators, and IEDs.

  • Operate and maintain Energy Control Systems and associated equipment, such as GE D20 and SEL-RTAC RTUs.

  • Support revenue metering systems and interface with Metering Engineers as needed.

  • Assist in ongoing Energy Management (EM) projects and contribute to the improvement of system efficiency and data reliability.

  • Utilize working knowledge of databases and networking technologies to support SCADA infrastructure.
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.

  • 1–3 years of experience in a utility or industrial environment supporting communications between IEDs.

  • Strong understanding of SCADA systems, troubleshooting, and power system metering.

  • Experience with DNP3.0 (required) and Modbus (preferred) communication protocols.

  • Familiarity with GE D20 and SEL-RTAC RTUs.

  • Background Check: 7 years

  • Drug Screen: 5-panel

  • Work from Home: Not permitted (100% onsite)

  • Travel: None expected (may require occasional site presence)
  • Overtime: Not expected

Location: Tucker, GA 30084
Term: 12-month minimum contract (extensions likely)
Pay Range: $50–$70/hr (target bill rate may need to stay under $100/hr)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM (some flexibility)
Onsite Only | No Travel | Business Casual Attire
