Selectek is seeking a Robotic Sales Engineer to join our client’s team in Monroeville, PA (East of Pittsburgh). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical and mechanical background in robotics with a passion for sales and business development.

Required:
  • Preferred degree in automation, mechanical, robotics, or electrical engineering
  • Possess technical and mechanical expertise in the field of robotics
  • Experience in estimating costs for custom-engineered solutions
  • Ability to create and interpret concept drawings or adapt existing automation cells as necessary
  • Technical writing capabilities
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills coupled with a friendly demeanor
  • Display a keen enthusiasm for generating and pursuing business opportunities
  • Strong self-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
  • Conduct robot reach studies
  • Proficiency with Fanuc robotics
  • Perform robot simulations using Fanuc Roboguide software
  • Ability to participate in customer meetings and perform sales presentations

Job order details:  In this role, the Sales Engineer will source commercially available system components, estimate project expenses using established standards and templates, and generate thorough proposals and quotes for robotic cells. The Sales Engineer will participate in customer meetings and perform sales presentations, whether on-site or virtually, to discuss potential projects. In this role, the SE will also explore and pursue business opportunities across industries such as automotive, industrial, consumer products, food, agricultural, appliance, and aerospace. This person will attend various meetings including technical reviews, purchase order validations, kick-off meetings, and factory acceptance buy-off meetings. The SE will collaborate closely with the engineering team to refine solution concepts and maintain a detailed activity log and monitor key performance indicators.

Salary range: $90,000 - $115,000 (depending on experience) 
Pay method when direct: Salaried (ability to earn OT based on commissioning work)
