Job Description
Selectek is looking to hire a Right of Way Agent to assist with their department’s growing needs. The primary responsibility will be to negotiate with landowners to acquire right of way and provide support for distribution easement acquisition.
Candidates will be excepted to:
Pay Range $30/hour - $40.50/hour ($63,000 - $85,000 annual salary)
Term of assignment:Â 9+ months; clients did say the work is ongoing and not tied to a single project so it is very possible to extend beyond the initial 9 months
Location of job: Talladega, AL
Hours & Shift: Monday - Friday 8AM – 5PM
Work From Home/Remote:Â No
Overtime:Â At times possible but generally no
Travel:Â 50% - to locations across Alabama as necessary
Work Attire:Â Business Casual

Candidates will be excepted to:
- Display the ability to effectively and professionally negotiate for land rights with property owners.
- Display the ability to be ale to assemble and correctly completed documentation necessary in support of land rights acquisition.
- Locate and retrieve the necessary documentation in the county courthouse to determine legal property ownership (title research) and/or use internet tools to do the same when available.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years negotiating land rights with property owners
- Word/Excel Proficiency
- Bachelor’s Degree

Lizzie is originally from a small town in South Georgia where she grew up on a farm. She then moved to the “big city” of Athens to attend The University of Georgia where she received her bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication. The courses she took cultivated her desire to connect with people and help others. This path led her to a sales and recruiting job with a company in Atlanta that took her to Pittsburgh and then back to Atlanta. Although she enjoyed the competitiveness of sales, recruiting was her passion. For the next three years, Lizzie honed her recruiting skills while working for a light industrial/manufacturing staffing company in Marietta, GA.
Lizzie joined Selectek in March of 2021. She brought with her a cumulative of nearly 9 years of recruiting experience. Her strong background and knowledge of recruiting gave her a great base for learning the ins and outs of engineering and architecture.
In her spare time, Lizzie spends time with her dogs (Jax, Tuck, and Birdie) and cat (Luna). She also enjoys cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs football team and visiting local wineries. She enjoys going on trips with her husband, Philip, and playing in a competitive cornhole league with him.
