Job Description

Selectek is seeking a Structural Engineer for a contract role with one of our partnering companies near Greenville, South Carolina. This firm specializes in commercial projects, and candidates will be working on all aspects of the building designs.

This firm is open to reviewing remote candidates!

Employment Type: Contract – Six months with potential to become permanent, based on performance
Location: Greenville, SC
Expected Pay Range: $40-$45 before permanent hire conversion based on experience and certification level

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5+ years of structural design experience
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong knowledge of structural analysis programs like RAM, RISA, or STAAD
- Experience working with concrete and steel structures
- Ideal candidates have knowledge of BIM modeling
In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.

Job Duties:
- Lead design projects for concrete, steel, or timber frame building projects
- Primary focus will be on small commercial projects, but likely running multiple projects at once
- Draw details and communicate with CAD designers on the same project
- Perform structural analysis
- Generate calculations for wind and seismic
- Create markups in Bluebeam or by hand
- Work with little or no supervision
