Our client is currently seeking a Refrigeration Engineer. 

Summary:
  • The Refrigeration Engineer is responsible for all aspects of design and development of refrigeration systems that pertain to both new and existing products.
  • This will require the structuring of bills of material, coil sizing, refrigeration system design, CAD design using SolidWorks including sheet metal, piping and wiring schematic development and component selection.
  • In addition, supports manufacturing operators with any drawing interpretation or guidance when required.
  • This position bridges the gap between the factory refrigeration, fabrication department, test lab and the 3D solid modeling engineering departments.
  • 3D solid modeling experience is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Plans, designs, problem-solves and collaborates with various teams.
  • Provides mentorship and training for Engineering, Prototype and Manufacturing teams.
  • Provides complete project management for systems, projects and programs in the area of expertise
  • Provides support on the assessment of new and existing refrigerated case designs and/or performance.
  • Specifies purchase parts, equipment, and materials required for optimum performance of refrigeration systems and/or design
  • Creates and manages process documentation such as standards and work instructions.
  • Provides support in the development of manufacturing processes for refrigeration equipment and products
  • Optimizes the design in manufacturing processes to improve quality and performance of existing refrigeration products
  • Ensures product design is in accordance with all regulatory and governmental regulations and standards.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commercial refrigerated appliance design and service
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Must have experience in refrigeration - preferably within foodservice equipment
  • SolidWorks experience
  • UL, NSF, DOE certification understanding

Pay Rate:
  • $29 – 48/hr, dependent on experience
