Responsibilities:
  • Review customer drawings and specifications to determine necessary inspection points.
  • Document necessary inspection and test instructions and update them as needed.
  • Maintain adequate quality assurance records.
  • Conduct quality assurance and corrective action follow-up reviews.
  • Perform original and periodic inspections of special and standard gages, test equipment, and tooling used in product manufacturing.
  • Ensure inspection and test equipment remain calibrated within established timeframes.
  • Prepare and read inspection reports for quality, measurements, calibration, and other technical documentation.
  • Perform First Piece and Final Parts inspection.

Requirements:
  • US Citizen
  • Minimum of 4 years of Quality Inspection experience in a machine shop environment.
  • Background in Quality Inspection with a variety of materials such as sheet metal, aluminum, stainless steel, and/or polymers.
  • Ability to read blueprint drawings.
  • Experience with measurement tools (e.g., Micrometers, Gages).
  • Understanding of geometric tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with First Piece and Final Parts inspection.

Preferred:
  • Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is a Quality Inspector with 4-5 years of experience in a job shop environment. They should be proficient in First Piece and Final Part inspecting and able to handle a high volume of parts efficiently. We are looking for a hands-on inspector rather than someone focused on paperwork.

Location: West Springfield, MA
Type: Contract-to-Hire (Expected direct hire within 4-6 months)
Pay Range: $25-$29/HR (Relevant to experience)
Shift: 1st Shift, Mon-Fri, 7:00AM-3:00PM or 8:00AM-4:00PM
