Job Description

We have an immediate need for a 1st Shift Quality Inspector in the Rochester, NY area. This is a 6 month, contract-to-direct opportunity.

Starting pay is dependent on relevant experience.

Job description:
  • Candidate must possess a working knowledge on a wide variety of inspection methodologies, including standard hand gages, Optical and Form systems along with CMM operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, customer specifications and standards and a strong GD&T skillset is required.
  • Role encompasses all facets of Inspection in a Precision CNC manufacturing environment. This includes 1st piece and Layout Inspection, In-Process and Final Inspection.
  • Ability to set up parts and operate a CMM using PC-DMIS is required.
  • General CMM Programming skills using PC-DMIS is a PLUS
  • Maintains the traceability of documentation and all objective evidence related to production.
  • Assists in the selection of gaging to maximize repeatability and reproducibility of measured parameters. Experience conducting Gage R&R is a PLUS
  • Assists with the development and execution of PPAP’s a PLUS
  • Supports the completion of First Article Reports (AS9102) while collaborating with Quality Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Performs incoming material and part inspection along with verifying associated documentation for conformance and preparing inspection packages.
Required:
  • US Citizen
  • Candidate must possess a working knowledge on a wide variety of inspection methodologies, including standard hand gages, Optical and Form systems along with CMM operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, customer specifications and standards and a strong GD&T skillset is required
  • PC-DMIS CMM Operation experience
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate and present information to associates and managers.
Preferred:
  • 1-3 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience conducting Gage R&R is a PLUS
  • General CMM Programming skills using PC-DMIS is a PLUS
Pay Range $20-$27/hr
