Job Description

Our client near Birmingham, AL is looking for a Quality Engineer to assist in improving and maintaining the quality program and continuous improvements within the plant.
 Required:
  • ISO Documentation and revision
  • Lead Audits
  • Continuous improvement through planning and leading kaizen events
  • Support plant operations as necessary to ensure KPI's are met
  • Corrective and Preventive Action using (Fishbone, DMAIC Process, 8D, 5 Why’s
  • Address non-conformance using 5-Step corrective action process; problem description, containment, root cause analysis, permanent corrective action, and verification.
  • Conducting root cause and corrective action for manufacturing non-conformances
  • Work instructions, standard work, and process flows
  • Knowledge of Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Galvanized Steel
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred
  • Equivalent experience may be considered
  • 2 Years Manufacturing Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or Quality Engineering ·
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Kaizen leadership experience
  • Limited travel required for job, 25 %

Salary Range $70,000-$80,000 (flex for more experience
